Clear care technology is now becoming more popular as an alternative to the normal type of contact lenses solution. Contact solution is a must for individuals who wear contact lenses. However, some people may have allergic reactions to their contact lens solution. If you’re one of these people, you may want to give the Clear Care contact lens solution a try.

What is it?

Clear Care contact lens solution (produced by Ciba Vision) is somewhat different from other contact lens solutions. The main difference is that the Clear Care solution doesn’t use as many chemicals as other contact solutions do.

The main ingredients for this solution are hydrogen peroxide (3%), sodium chloride (.79%), phosphonic acid, a phosphate-buffered system, and Pluronic 17R4. If you’re allergic to any of these ingredients, then do not use this product. You should also check with your eye doctor to ensure that it’s OK for you to use Clear Care.

How it’s Different

Clear Care looks like an ordinary contact solution, but it’s a bit bizarre. The main difference is the contact lens case. When you first open the box that has your Clear Care solution in it, you will discover a strange-looking device. In actuality, this “device” is your new contact lens case. You receive one of these cases whenever you buy more solution (it’s in the box). You can view more contact lens cases which are displayed at cosplaylens.com

This contact lens case is taller than the contact lens cases you’re probably used to handling. Upon first using your new contact lens case, you will need to follow a few simple steps. First, unscrew the cap that is on the top of your contact lens case. You then turn the cap upside down and flip the two little domed shaped lens holders (one for each lens) down.

Then you place each contact lens in each appropriate holder. They are marked right and left, in case your prescription is different for each eye. You may want to wash your contact lenses off with some of the solutions before you place them in the holders. Or you can just follow the instructions and squirt solution on the lenses when they are inside of the holders.

After all of this, make sure you snap your holders back into position then fill up your little glass case with the Clear Care contact solution. Then just flip the cap back over, and screw it into the glass vial. At this point, you will notice bubbles starting to shoot up towards the top of the glass vial. This is perfectly normal and interesting to observe. Be sure you wait at least six hours to place the contact lenses back in your eye. Also, the bubbles should have disappeared when the six-hour time slot has expired. But if you’re uncertain then please wait.

Dangers

Danger? What Danger? It’s just a simple contact solution, right? Yes and no. You just read how you’re supposed to wait at least six hours before you place your contact lenses back in your eyes. The thing is, if you place the contacts back in your eyes prior to the solution finishing the cleaning process then you will be in tremendous agony. You might even have to go to the hospital.

Please follow the instructions very carefully when using this product. If you don’t, you will pay a painful price. And this goes for rinsing your contacts off in the morning. You must not use Clear Care to rinse your lenses off in the morning or any other time of the day. If you just have to rinse off your contacts, then use a different type of solution. However, this defeats the purpose of using Clear Care in the first place. So if you’re going to do that, then don’t bother with this solution. It’s simply not for you.

Price

If you’ve been using solutions such as Opti-Free than the price of Clear Care will not phase you. It is, in fact, a bit cheaper than Opti-Free. However, you will use more of this solution than you normally would with other solutions thanks to the glass case. So in the grand scheme of things, Clear Care probably costs the same as Opti-Free. Oh, and the actual price of Clear Care is between six and seven dollars. It will just depend on where you buy it, potential sales; etc.

Clear Care is a great solution for people who are allergic to the ingredients found in other contact solutions. Just remember that this contact lens solution can be extremely dangerous if you use it improperly. So be careful and follow your eye doctor’s advice.
